What it measures

Each switch should send one press; the wheel should report steady direction and tick size. Dead buttons, sticky middle clicks, or skippy scroll show up immediately — the dedicated scroll test adds up/down counters and ticks per second.

Double click test online

Log every press interval on the double click test pad. Sub-80 ms chatter, deliberate double-clicks, and normal gaps are labeled so worn switches are obvious before you RMA.

What it measures

Gaps under ~80 ms usually mean switch bounce (the mouse double-clicks by itself). Deliberate double-clicks land around 100–250 ms; Windows accepts up to ~500 ms.

Mouse polling test (Hz)

What it measures

What it measures

CPS measures click speed in a timed window. A 5-second run filters lucky 1-second bursts — not to be confused with unrelated “CPS” acronyms elsewhere on the web.

How to test buttons, wheel, polling & double-click

Every primary click bumps its counter once per press. Scroll ticks rise evenly both directions — missing middle clicks often mean a worn wheel switch.

Double click test

No sub-80 ms chatter when you intended a single click. Deliberate double-clicks should log consistently between ~100–500 ms.
